November 22 2015 – True Faith COGIC Sanctuary:
The Lord spoke through our Pastor, Supt. Evans Brown, Sr. about reading God’s word. He started out with 1 Timothy 4:1-2:
¹Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Pastor Brown reminded us that this is occurring today even though it was written years before our existence. He emphasized seared conscious in that a person who no longer listens to what is right as God sees right.
We were told that we have a right to desire God’s word and if we study enough our trust in God will increase. The word is important and we need to spend as much time as possible reading our bibles. He told us to come out of Facebook, Twitter and everything else that is taking our time of study and fellowship with God. He quoted from verses Psalm 103:5, Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:14, Romans 15:4 and Deuteronomy 29:29. The passages reminds us the reasons we need to study the word of God.
We are thankful the word goes forth at True Faith from a man who walks in the word, not just talk the the word. Come join us in Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7:00PM and Sunday Worship at 11:00AM.
