Pastor Brown preached on the topic of prayer during our morning worship experience. He used Matthew 6:33; Luke 18:1; 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and Philippians 4:6 to give a message about how to go through our lives, accomplishing goals.
He reminded us that we have to seek God first! He said we should seek the one who created us because he knows what we need before we asked. He reminded us there is a difference between our needs and our wants, or desires. Pastor Brown told us God will supply all of our needs and God knows them all. He told us when we’re compassionate about something, we take it seriously. So we ought to be passionate about seeking the Lord.
Pastor Brown told us that prayer is key. He asked the congregation to define prayer. He summarized it as talking to God. And we should always pray. Not just when things are looking bad, but learn to pray when things are looking good. He said we need to pray and thank God for what He’s already done in our lives before we start asking Him to do something else.
After Pastor Brown preached, he prayed for several people. The youth lined up for prayer that they might do good in school.
We invite you to our worship experience every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Come experience the love of Christ, study the word of God and receive life-changing wisdom as only God can give.
