Lashous WilliamsWe have some young people at True Faith who silently go about their day making big strides toward success. They are determined to develop themselves towards a relationship with God and their careers. So We are going to start featuring them on our website and Facebook page. Our first article is on PFC LaShous Williams.

PFC LaShous Williams is the granddaughter of Evangelist Lorraine Glover and the daughter of Sister LaKenya Williams-Carter. Before she started her journey toward success she grew up at True Faith and served as a Praise Team singer, Praise Dancer and Choir Member. She graduated from Northeast High School.

At the age of 17, she joined the United States Army. She said that was one of the scariest decisions she’s ever ever made. Two weeks after her high school graduation, she got on the bus headed to basic training. She said she didn’t know her whole mindset on life would quickly be changed. She reached her destination at Fort Jackson, South Carolina where she spent nine long hot weeks. “Some mornings I felt like giving up, by the grace of God I graduated” PFC Williams said.

After she successfully completed from basic training she was assigned to Fort Lee in Virginia. She describes this place as being more laid back. She had more freedom there. physical training every morning and class during the day was the schedule on weekdays, but the weekends fun. Now She’s stationed at Fort Hood, Texas where she’ll be until 2017. She said living there has shaped her into the woman she is today. I’ve grown in so many ways. “Now I really know what it feels like to be an independent adult”, PFC Williams said.

Go get ’em PFC LaShous Williams. With God, all of your goals are possible and attainable.
