We celebrated our fathers on Father’s Day. The Women Department provided breakfast for the fathers of True Faith. After Sunday School, we went into our worship experience and Youth Worship Service.
Chama Azodo, the daughter of Bro. and Sister Azodo, exhibited her skills of spelling. She is in Pre-K and reading on a 4th-grade level. She spelled words like alarm, basket and splendid. She only missed one word, but to see a child spell words like she did was awesome. She received a Spelling Bee trophy that Sister Seira McClendon won when she was a child.
Pastor Brown preached from Proverbs 4:1-2. He shared something he saw that morning. He said he saw a father standing with his son. He said the father’s pants were sagging. He said the father is already imparting something to his son, even in the way he dresses. He urged all fathers to pray for and encourage their children to always seek wisdom. He urged all fathers to keep teaching their children.
